El Pedral

The hotel is exists within the Norman manor built in 1923 by Félix Arbeletche. It is composed by three buildings: the main house where breakfast and meals are served, and two wings with eight bedrooms, which can be transformed into double, twin or triple rooms, according to the preferences of the guests. A little entrance hall is shared every two rooms. If needed, a cradle is also available.

The onsite restaurant to el pedral offers breakfast, lunch and dinner to all guests while staying at the hotel for the duration of their stay. Premium wines and drinks are at an additional cost (cash only)

Punta Nifas lighthouse – After setting out on a 8km drive away from the country house guests will arrive at the high cliffs of the Península Valdés coasts. The Punta Ninfas’ lighthouse is located at the south end of the Golfo Nuevo’s mouth, where you will be able to see breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the gulf, as well as mesmerizing views of the sunset.

Observation of rookery of elephant seals – A short drive away located the foot of Punta Ninfas’ cliff  is the natural habitat of elephant seals, where they can be observed in small groups throughout of the year. In mid-September, male individuals arrive to ‘mark their territory’ in order to start making up their harems and increasing them.  Once guests are on the beach they will be able to walk along the beach and watch these animals very closely.

Guided walks among Magellanic penguins – Every year in September, a growing colony of friendly Magellanic penguins settles in El Pedral. A complimentary guided tour among its nests will enable you to know much more about these curious animals. El Pedral keeps a control and cleaning program along its coasts, together with collaborating with the foundation GPS, Global Penguin Society, which monitors the Magellanic penguins’ colony of Punta Ninfas.

The 220 V power is generated by wind energy. In case there is no wind, power is generated by a diesel generator.
