Growing fruit and veg organically allows for the implementation of a more sustainable and natural menu, reducing the carbon footprint of the hotel’s gastronomic operations.

In an endeavour to be an eco-friendly resort, the hotel has implemented a sewage network which transports sewage away from the hotel and to a nearby plant which purifies and cleans the water. From there, the water is pumped back to the hotel and is used again in the toilets. This eco friendly system significantly reduces the water consumption at the hotel and works towards a more environmentally friendly future!

Plants which are distinctive to the region are replanted in the hotel’s gardens to act as an oxygen and water source. This initiative contributes to the conservation of the ecosystem and boosts the extent of the hotel’s eco-friendly operations.

In a bid to generate eco-friendly renewable energy from the sun, the hotel installed solar panels. The solar panels generates substantial energy, 20% of total power consumption to be exact, contributing towards the running of the hotel as well as the pool heating system.

The hotel’s project to convert the lighting system to LED illumination has proved to be of grave importance to their eco-friendly mission. The sustainable energy consumption of the project has allowed a tangible saving of 90% when compared with the lighting system prior to the initiate. The project has effectively reduced energy consumption and waste whilst still allowing the hotel to provide atmospheric mood lighting throughout.
