There are three Matsuri festivals held every year. The Aoi Matsuri festival is held annually on 15th May, the Gino Matsuri festival is held from the 17th to 24th July and the Jidai Matsuri is held on 22nd October. If you’re visiting Kyoto during this time, these festivals perfectly encapsulate ancient Japanese culture.
