Spitzkoppen Lodge

The Barnard Family is honored to welcome you to Spitzkoppen Lodge. The same owners and developers of Kalahari Bush Breaks Lodge, have the privilege to share their dream come true of an exclusive destination on the edge of the Namib Desert, which started some 14 years ago. You are invited to indulge in the pleasure and passion for friendly service in a relaxed ambiance.
The lodge is situated on the northern periphery of the Spitzkoppe inselberg, between huge granite boulders, which were created more than 150 million years ago, with breath-taking views onto the Brandberg and Erongo Mountains. The stylish, private accommodation consists of 15 spacious, tastefully furnished chalets, each with a private bathroom and outside viewing deck, which connects the guest with the vast stretches of untouched sand and boulders beyond.

Kanaan Naankuse Desert Retreat

Situated on 35,000 hectares of unspoilt nature, guests at Kanaan Naansuke Desert Retreat will be able to bask in the beauty of sand dunes that stretch for miles and admire the breath taking views of mountain vistas. The focus of the desert retreat property is to rehabilitate the land, making it a conservation area to protect the wildlife and natural environment. The property borders the Namib Naukluft Park and with captivating scenery from every angle, it is a nature lover’s paradise and a photographer’s dream. Guests will get to choose between a luxury tent or a camp site depending on their desired experience. The luxury canvas tents each have En-suites and offer guests stunning views of a watering hole where animals can be seen roaming around. Sunrise or sunset dune drives will get guests even more up close and personal to the land at Kanaan.

Sonop

Sonop is a luxurious tented camp nestled atop the granite boulders at the very South of the Namib desert. This unique safari lodge offers an idyllic retreat in an authentic 1920s-style setting where guests can get into the mindset of classic explorers. Surrounded by the stunning panoramic desert landscape, the 10 tented suites are generously spaced apart from their position on top of the boulders. Each tent offers incredible views of the vast sands and is richly decorated with antiques, colourful carpets and polished wood. The lodge also includes modern twists such as the spacious swimming pool, open-air cinema and luxury treatments at the lodge’s spa. Amalinda Lodge

Amalinda Lodge is set among the Matobo Hills, built into and around the granite domes and giant rocks that mark this incredible landscape. The lodge uses the existing rock features and incorporates them into its design to create a unique refuge where guests can be at one with the natural surroundings in an ancient bushman shelter. Matobo Hills is home to amazing rock sceneries rarely seen in Africa, and each room is steeped in local history with artefacts on display. Enjoy your stay in a luxury lodge on a World Heritage Site, where guests can enjoy a range of activities including rhino tracking, hikes and walks within Amalinda Lodge’s stunning grounds, and cultural tours to the local villages and historical sites. Big Cave Camp

Big Cave Camp reposes atop an enormous granite whaleback commanding inspirational views across the famous Matobo National Park. Sophisticated African architecture incorporates colossal boulders into a comfortably appointed thatched lodge positioned amidst ancient Khoisan rock art. Retire at a day’s end to the natural rock-pool and sundeck, the Leopard`s Lair lounge and bar, a cave-style boma for pre-dinner drinks or the popular lodge library. Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge

Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge is an eco-friendly lodge, built to blend into the surrounding environment, its placement high on a ledge overlooking the Savuti landscape affords unique and spectacular 180 degree views; game viewing and the natural surroundings are outstanding here, being situated in the famous Chobe National Park. Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge significantly reduces its environmental impact by making the most of the shining suns’ rays, using it to create renewable energy through the use of solar panels. Each elegant tented room sleeps two people, offering and en-suite bathroom and private decking for an uninterrupted view of the African plains. Bisate Lodge

Bisate Lodge hosts dramatic views of the Bisoke and Karisimbi volcano peaks rising through the forests of nearby Volcanoes National Park. Exploring around Bisate includes community visits, birding, golden monkey tracking, helping reforest the area, Gorilla Guardian Village, the Twin Lakes of Ruhondo and Burera, as well as Dian Fossey’s burial site. Guests will stay in one of six opulent en-suite Forest Villas, warmed by a central fireplace and offering breath-taking views from the deck. Both the architecture and interiors are rooted in Rwandan cultural traditions. The vision of Bisate is to be a model of sustainable ecotourism in Rwanda. Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge is Rwanda’s first ever community owned lodge. The 5-star lodge boasts a prime location, set on the edge of the Parc National des Volcanos in a lush green property of 11 hectares, enjoying breath-taking and dramatic views of the surrounding volcanoes. All guest cottages are discretely situated in the folds of the hills and amongst the verdant vegetation of the Sabyinyo property.
