Rainforest Expeditions Lodges

Rainforest Expeditions Lodges operate three luxury jungle lodges and one Villa in the Tambopata National Reserve. Their expeditions offer immersion in nature as well as a cultural exchange in the Peruvian Amazon aimed at providing a comprehensive experience of the rainforest.  Guests have high chances to see up to eights species of monkeys, over 500 species of birds, a herd of hundreds of white lipped peccary, giant river otters, and even jaguars.

Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica Lodge

Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica Lodge lies in the heart of a botanical wonderland, adjacent to the Tambopata National Reserve where wildlife and birdlife are in abundance. The lodge consists of 35 wooden cabanas, perfectly positioned on the banks of the Madre de Dios River, where guests can immerse themselves in the stunning natural beauty and connect with the tropical plants and scenery. Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica is a bird enthusiast’s paradise, home to 540 exotic bird types, many of which are unique to the rainforest. The sprawling rainforest is alive with exotic wildlife which guests can enjoy viewing from the comfort of their cabana, and in 2013, this amazing lodge was listed as one of the world’s 25 best eco-lodges by National Geographic Traveller magazine.

Canto das Aguas Hotel

A unique tucked-away jungle abode, Canto das Águas Hotel seeks to express diversity and beauty, as can be seen in the various accommodation styles and through their menu of culinary surprises. The suites and rooms come equipped with breathtaking riverside views, air-conditioning, showers with hot water, cable TV and other amenities to ensure guests have a comfortable, relaxing stay. For guests to enjoy, there is a large swimming pool that reflects the life and energy of the river that runs parallel to it. Guests can also make use of a range of facilities including the leisure area – which offers three relaxing spaces for massages, a sauna, games rooms, reading rooms and open-air reading beds that are integrated into the natural environment. Curl up with a good book and listen to the tranquil sounds of the river, hidden away deep inside the Brazilian wild.

Ruckomechi Camp

Located in the legendary Mana Pools National Park, Ruckomechi enjoys incredible views across the Zambezi to the towering escarpment on the Zambian side of the river. Albida trees provide both shade and seed pods that are beloved of elephants, meaning that these charismatic creatures are never far away. Guest accommodation consists of ten spacious en-suite tented units, including two family units, and open 4×4 vehicles, motorised pontoon boats, canoes and good old safari boots facilitate the wildlife viewing. The camp even features a secluded outdoor bath for a luxurious sensory experience. Ruckomechi is open throughout the dry (winter) season.

Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp

Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp is a classic tented safari camp sitting amidst 260,000 acres of untamed African bush in a private concession in the renowned Okavango Delta, bordering the southern section of the famous Moremi Game Reserve. The main area, a large tented lounge and dining area affords magnificent views over the floodplain in front of the camp. Watch as big game march past; perhaps even catch a glimpse of the rare wild dog. From the rim flow swimming pool, guests can watch giraffe and other plains game march across the Savannah.

Awasi Iguazu Lodge

With close proximity to the mighty Iguazu Falls, the Awasi Iguazu lodge rests in the heart of the jungle, overlooking the banks of the River Iguazu and surrounded by the Atlantic Rainforest. Stay in one of 14 villas made from eco-friendly materials with your own private plunge pool and 4WD vehicle to explore the surrounding area, in a secluded section of the jungle, just 20 minutes from the cascading falls. A multitude of adventures awaits guests staying at the Awasi Iguazu.

Ngoma Safari Lodge

The Ngoma Safari Lodge rests in the Chobe Forest Reserve, overlooking the powerful Chobe River and floodplains, and is just 3km away from the Chobe National Park. The lodge was constructed out of local materials and has been designed to blend into the surrounding natural landscape. This private sanctuary offers stunning panoramic views of Botswana’s wildlife from a luxurious setting. The Ngoma Safari Lodge’s communal areas consist of a lounge, dining room, bar and plunge pool. Each comfortable and spacious suite faces the river, guaranteeing a beautiful backdrop to your stay, and also comes with a bath, indoor and outdoor showers, and a private outdoor living area with a “refresh and relax pool”.

Leroo La Tau

Leroo La Tau is a luxury safari camp that rests on the Western bank of the Boteti River. The camp features 12 chalets that overlook the sweeping savannah plains of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The elevated position of the chalets offer guests a magnificent view of the river, salt pan and the thousands of animals within it. Makgadikgadi Pans National Park is home to the second-largest migration of zebras in Africa, with over 30,000 of the striped creatures. The dense populations of zebra and wildebeest also attract large numbers of predators, giving guests an incredible game viewing opportunity from the comfort of their own rooms.

Kadizora Camp

Situated amidst the expansive savannah regions of the Northern Okavango lies Kadizora Camp, characterised by stretching grassy plains, scattered trees and astonishing wetland views. Accommodation is designed with luxury and privacy in mind, comprising various luxury and standard tents with a host of modern amenities. Dining is both lavish and comprehensive, with an abundance of freshly prepared cuisine served each day, particularly with the evening three-course meal that deviates from the buffet style feasts of breakfast and lunch. A mix of western cuisine and locally inspired flavours allows you to dine as extravagantly as one desires, with all-inclusive food and beverages to enjoy throughout.

Meno a Kwena Tented Camp

Perched on a clifftop that overlooks the beautiful waters of the Boteti River, Meno a Kwena is a classically styled camp that offers guests an authentic safari experience. Meno a Kwenda overlooks the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, providing guests with views of the scores of migrating zebras who live here for most of the year, as well as the sweeping savannah and one of the largest salt pans in the world. Each of the camp’s 10 safari tents has a private verandah with a river view, meaning guests can watch tens of thousands of zebra, as well as herds of elephant and wildebeest, from the comfort of their own room.
