Situated within the Western Corridor of the famous Serengeti National Park, Mbali Mbali Soroi Serengeti rests atop a plateau that overlooks the Musabi Plains. Roving Bushtops Central Serengeti

Roving Bushtops is a unique mobile camp within the Serengeti region that travels from Kusini in Southern Serengeti to Seronera in Central Serengeti. The mobile camp consists of 8 luxury tents with walls that can be opened on three sides to provide sweeping views of the ever-changing landscape. The portable nature of the Roving Bushtops means that travellers can get the most out of their safari experience and enjoy a return visit with the same friendly and familiar faces, but in a completely new location. All of the tents are packed into a mobile unit called the Rover. Serengeti Safari Camp Central

Serengeti Safari Camp Central is a mobile camp that travels across the plains of Serengeti so that guests can follow the migration herds and enjoy the best possible game viewing year-round. One of the first of Greater Serengeti’s mobile safari camps, Serengeti Safari Camp Central packs up and moves to a new location 4-5 every 2-3 months. Guests are unable to stay at the camp while it is moving, however, you can enjoy revisiting this friendly home-away-from-home with guides who hold a collective 200 years of experience between them, while being able to experience a fresh stay in a completely new landscape. The camp is focused on being both environmentally friendly and comfortable, with eco flush loos and safari bucket showers as well as plush double beds within your Meru-style tents. Greystoke Mahale

Greystoke Mahale lies on the white sands of Lake Tanganyika’s shore, facing out over the crystal water. The lodge and six luxury rooms stand against the backdrop of dense forest and sub-tropical greenery that sprawl along the base of the 8000 ft tall Mahale Mountains. Mbali Mbali Mahale

Mbali Mbali Mahale sits on a stretch of sheltered golden beach, deep in the heart of the African interior. Boasting a backdrop formed by the dramatic Mahale Mountain range, and the crystal clear waters of Lake Tanganyika in the foreground, this secluded and romantic hideaway is the perfect blend of relaxation and luxury. Each well-appointed Beach tent has been strategically positioned to offer guests privacy, while still allowing easy access to the beach and communal areas. Each Beach Tent is on a raised platform; delivers 24-hour electricity and hot and cold running water. The tents provide self-contained mosquito nets around the beds and bathroom. The primary activity in the park is chimpanzee trekking, carefully monitored so as to reduce human impact on the famous habituated M-Group chimps. Take a gentle boat safari on the lake, or opt for a fishing excursion, where you may encounter crocodile, hippo and otter as well as an abundance of birdlife. Kayaks are available for exploring the lake at your leisure, or you may choose to simply stretch out under one of the salas on the beach, while the gentle lapping of the lake lulls you into an afternoon siesta.

Serian The Nest

Serian’s The Nest is a unique treehouse accommodation that has been built into a Warburgia tree and rests 12 feet off the ground. The Nest overlooks the Mara River, where hippos lounge in the tranquil waters and can be heard from the comfort of The Nest’s sleeping area as they honk and grunt below. Olakira Migration Camp

Immerse yourself in the Great Migration at Olakira Migration Camp. You will feel the earth vibrate during brave winter crossings of the mighty rivers in the north, or be moved beyond measure by the mass summer calving on the south’s grassy plains. Olakira follows the massive herds of wildebeest to two spectacular locations in the north and south of the Serengeti National Park. Home from December to March is the southern Serengeti, where herds of wildebeest calve simultaneously and the plains throng with new life. As the dry days of winter arrive, Olakira relocates north to the confluence of the Mara and Bolongonja rivers for spectacular game viewing at the Mara River itself and around the Lamai Wedge.

Serengeti Safari Camp South

Serengeti Safari Camp is a pioneering mobile camp that moves seasonally to be in the best possible location to witness the great migration herds; still doing it in East African tented style with migration-chasing adventures. Nomad Tanzania was among the first companies to start mobile safaris in the Greater Serengeti and is the only one that still moves camp 4 – 5 times a year to be in the best possible location to catch the action. Camp life is epitomised by early morning tea delivered to your tent, gin and tonics around the campfire, meals shared around a communal table and hot safari bucket showers before retiring to a cosy bed.
