This was to allow the local cheetah population to recover without the encroachment of humans on their territory. Today, the Namiri Plains are home to an estimated 50-80 adult cheetahs, as well as an abundance of lions, leopards and hyenas. The small and intimate nature of Namiri Plains Camp causes minimal disruption to the resident big cats, and offers guests an immersive and personally tailored stay in this undiscovered haven.
