Khayelitshe House

Khayelitshe House gains its name from the Ndebele words Ekhaya and Litshe, which mean home in the rocks. The rural guesthouse is set among the red granite boulders of Matopo, overlooking the vast wilderness that lies beyond the rolling stone hills. The Matobo Hills are one of the largest concentrations of exposed granite in the world, and have been home to many tribes over the last few thousand years. Travellers to the area can view the incredible San Bushmen rock art and visit a number of sacred sites, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who can teach you about the customs and beliefs that the tribes followed. Guests can also enjoy hiking, biking and exploring the amazing landscape. Khayelitshe House consists of four luxurious en-suite bedrooms and is the perfect retreat for families or a large group of friends who are looking for a private and exclusive safari experience in a truly unique setting.

Vundu Camp

Vundu Camp stands along the banks of the Zambezi River, half-hidden amongst a cluster of ebony and tamarind trees that offer both shade and a sense of privacy. Due to its riverside location, Vundu Camp is closed over the rainy season (December to April) when the riverbanks flood. The camp lies within a private concession within Mana Pools National Park, giving guests exclusive front row seats to exciting wildlife viewing from the comfort of the camp itself. The eight thatched chalets provide a luxurious setting for relaxing and waiting for the incredible local wildlife to come to you. Each room has a lounge area and outdoor seating that overlooks the tranquil waters of the Zambezi River, where guests can look out for hippos and crocodiles. Vundu Camp is also home to a number of wild dogs (also known as painted wolves) and the camp’s owners, Nick and Desiree Murray, worked alongside Sir David Attenborough for BBC’s Earth Dynasties painted wolf episode – shot at Vundu Camp.

Eleven spacious, private suites are individually set within the tree line along the edge of the magnificent Zambezi River. Stanley Safari Lodge

Nestled in the wilderness of Zambia, on the border of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, sits Stanley Safari Lodge. The lodge is authentic and comfortable, with a cosy main house which has a feature fireplace for cooler evenings and a relaxing library area, perfect for unwinding after a long day exploring. The Royal Livingstone

The Royal Livingstone Hotel is located on the banks of the Zambezi River, a stone’s throw away from the thundering waters of Victoria Falls, in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. Named after the famous explorer David Livingstone, the hotel recalls the style of his era as well as his name, with luxurious and classy rooms decorated in a Victorian style with a modern touch. Amalinda Lodge

Amalinda Lodge is set among the Matobo Hills, built into and around the granite domes and giant rocks that mark this incredible landscape. The lodge uses the existing rock features and incorporates them into its design to create a unique refuge where guests can be at one with the natural surroundings in an ancient bushman shelter. Matobo Hills is home to amazing rock sceneries rarely seen in Africa, and each room is steeped in local history with artefacts on display. Enjoy your stay in a luxury lodge on a World Heritage Site, where guests can enjoy a range of activities including rhino tracking, hikes and walks within Amalinda Lodge’s stunning grounds, and cultural tours to the local villages and historical sites. Toka Leya Camp

Toka Leya Camp sits on the banks of the Zambezi River, nestled in the heart of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. The camp has a calming and luxurious atmosphere, with 12 canvas tents on raised platforms, looking out over the wide rolling grasslands. Guests will hear nothing but the sounds of birds calling and insects chirping whilst they relax and eat dinner or enjoy a drink on their decking, under the wide unpolluted Zambian sky. All the tents are comfortable and authentic, with wooden features and cosy four poster beds. Ensuite bathrooms and private verandahs come with all the rooms, and they are filled with natural light through wide windows. The camp is in a prime location, with Victoria Falls not far away, guests can spend time exploring the magnificent wonder of the world, or can spend time closer to home, exploring the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. For guests who wish to have a more relaxing experience then the camp can offer spa treatments, followed by a dip in the sparkling swimming pool.

Big Cave Camp

Big Cave Camp reposes atop an enormous granite whaleback commanding inspirational views across the famous Matobo National Park. Sophisticated African architecture incorporates colossal boulders into a comfortably appointed thatched lodge positioned amidst ancient Khoisan rock art. Retire at a day’s end to the natural rock-pool and sundeck, the Leopard`s Lair lounge and bar, a cave-style boma for pre-dinner drinks or the popular lodge library. The eight thatched A-frame cottages, each with en-suite bathroom and private balcony, resonate African creative flair. Tongabezi Lodge

Tongabezi Lodge is located on the banks of the Zambezi River in Zambia, just a short journey away from the magnificent Victoria Falls.
