Chikoko Trails Camps

Chikoko Trails is made up of two small and exclusive bush camps, Chikoko Tree Camp and Crocodile River Camp, from which guests can experience unparalleled walking safaris which go from camp to camp. Located on the west bank in the South Luangwa National Park, just a few kilometres upstream from parent camp Tafika, Chikoko and Crocodile can only be accessed by foot and each offer a unique bush experience that fully immerses guests in the idyll of remotest Africa. On foot, the minute details of the bush come to the fore in a way they can’t in a car: the smells, the macro world and a sense of timelessness.

Tafika camp

Tafika Camp is situated in the Northern part of the Nsefu Sector of the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. It is the base camp for Remote Africa Safaris, a family-run safari operation. Tafika provides amazing views of the river offering a wonderful place to unwind when not enjoying walking safaris, cycling trails, micro lighting, or day and night game drives. This camp is in a game management area that boasts some of the best leopard viewing around, along with the prolific populations of a diverse blend of wildlife. Tafika’s gorgeous reed and thatch chalets are built around the trunks of kigelia, or sausage trees. Each bed is draped with mosquito nets, guests can gaze through the opening at the side of the chalet and enjoy the star-drenched skies without interruption. Lemala Mpingo Ridge

Lemala Mpingo Ridge camp perches atop the Mpingo Ridge where it can be reached by cooling breezes and sounds of the wild. This high up spot allows for beautiful sweeping views of the plains of the Tarangire National Park and Tarangire River. Sausage Tree Camp

Sausage Tree Camp lies on the banks of the Zambezi River, in the heart of a giant conservation area, and at the edge of Lower Zambezi National Park. The camp boasts incredible river views and guests can enjoy a range of exciting activities including canoeing, boating and fishing, as well as game drives and walking safaris. Sausage Tree Camp overlooks an expanse of narrow channels and low set reed islands teeming with game, with the magnificent Zambezi escarpment in the background. Guests can enjoy these incredible views from the camp’s large viewing deck, where you will also find a refreshing swimming pool, which is 25 metres in length. The seven luxury suites can cater for a maximum of 18 guests, offering an intimate and exclusive safari experience.

Governors’ Camp

Governors’ Camp is a Silver Eco award-winning and pristinely located camp in the heart of the Maasai Mara.
