Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia was established in 1998 by the wild initiative of an hidalgo man named Juan Quesada Valda. A pioneer in the salt hotels worldwide, Juan’s innovative and creative idea of building a hotel 100% made of salt (walls, ceilings, tables, chairs and others) was materialized in what he called Palacio de Sal.
