Muntri Mews
George Town, Penang, was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2008. Muntri Mews showcases late 19th-century architecture, integral to Penang’s history and heritage, with interiors which are stylish yet comfortable for today’s living and decorated with original antiques. The hotel is an Edwardian era Grade II heritage building, formerly a communal parking for horse carriages, which has been transformed into contemporary accommodation, complete with original wooden windows, doors and roof trusses. The interiors have been kept as original as possible with a touch of the 20th century feel to it.
