Ngare Serian

Ngare Serian is the embodiment of the vision to bring the tranquillity of the original Serian camp to the banks of the Mara River, with ‘Ngare’ meaning ‘by the river’. Nestled within the private Mara North Conservancy with just 4 tents, you’re guaranteed a stay that brings exclusivity, relaxation and safari luxury to a new height. The moment you step across the rope bridge you feel as if you’re stepping into new world where all that matters is the sound of the river and the moment. Whether you’re with family or friends or going solo, you’ll find the perfect little hideaway where you can reconnect with nature and discover a newfound appreciation for the simpler delights of life on safari.

Offbeat Mara Camp

Offbeat Mara Camp is one of Mara’s smaller camps with just 7 tents set in the exclusive North Mara Conservancy (NMC) but boasts some of the best wildlife viewings in the Maasai Mara. Leopards, elephants and buffalo are often seen around the camp as well as the resident lion pride who are often close by, so you’ll never have to venture far. You’ll also be far from any of the other camps in the NMC, meaning you’ll get those amazing game viewings practically all to yourself. While Offbeat Mara might not be a deluxe boutique camp, guests will have all the comforts of home and may find they prefer a more understated safari adventure that feels more authentic and immersive. If you’re looking for a real-deal safari it’ll be hard to find anywhere better than here!

Saruni Mara

Saruni Mara Camp is a small boutique lodge in the heart of the private Mara North Conservancy (MNC), the only one of its kind in the Mara and is marked out by the vibrant character of its Italian owners. Combining its exclusive location and maximum of just 18 guests, you’re promised an authentic Maasai-led and undisturbed safari experience without any of the hassle that comes from high-density tourism. The MNC is home to all kinds of wildlife and you’re guaranteed viewings of an exceptional quality that not many camps can promise.

Angama Mara

Balanced on the verge of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, between heaven and earth, Angama Mara overlooks the vast plains of the Maasai Mara. This eagerly sought-out destination has everything one could possibly need for a perfect getaway – two separate and intimate camps, with 15 glass-fronted tented suites each, a private airfield and prime access to the Mara, custom-made safari days and all the warmth and hospitality that Kenya is known for. Angama Mara has an evocative power over its visitors, with guests having described a “dreamlike” feeling, a sense immediate connection, or of returning to somewhere they have never been. Reaching 300 metres above the Maasai Mara, Angama hangs in the balance of romantic escapism and authentic safari, nurturing a feeling of being where one is meant to be.

Mahali Mzuri

Mahali Mzuri is a luxury safari camp on the beautiful plains of Kenya, with a front-row seat within the private Olara Motorogi Conservancy. There are just 12 tents on the camp, each with its own expanse of land, so this is the perfect destination for a laid-back and secluded getaway. The camp can cater up to 24 guests at a time. Staying at Mahali Mzuri is a wonderful opportunity to see the Great Wildebeest Migration and other stars of Kenyan wildlife, including lions, giraffes, elephants, zebras, cheetahs and more.

Mara Bushtops

Mara Bushtops is the perfect getaway destination to enjoy extravagant luxury and restorative tranquillity. Some have even called it the best camp in Kenya! While some locations may simply be base camp for travellers to explore surrounding areas, Mara Bushtops is most definitely another X on the map. From the award-winning Amani Spa and secret wine cellar to the scenic game drives and the best views in Maasai Mara, Mara Bushtops has everything they could possibly need to make your stay sensational and unforgettable. It is the only camp with an ample natural salt-lick by the watering hole, right in front of the spa and restaurant. The animals can’t wait to get their turn, allowing guests some of the very best viewings of African wildlife by day and by night, featuring appearances by gazelles, warthogs, zebra and impala, topi, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, leopards and lions.

Mara Expedition Camp

Mara Expedition Camp offers a chic, nostalgic and adventurous experience. It is unique to the industry and sits perfectly with the expert hospitality, specialised guiding and design that have become signature to the Great Plains Conservation. Guests visiting here will get the best of both safari worlds – the vibrant Maasai Mara ecosystem and the more private 70,000-acre Mara North Conservancy. The core of the camp’s ethos is the learning from and respecting of nature, where the Maasai Mara itself is the teacher. Unlike some other locations, there is a higher density of predators in the area so there is a constant reminder that the wilderness is not ours and must be respected at all times.

Governors’ Il Moran Camp

Il Moran is often considered to be the premiere camp of the Maasai Mara, with beautiful scenery, rich culture and the best wildlife viewing at your fingertips. Small and peaceful, it’s a fantastic destination for honeymooners, couples and those who are searching for a special and eco-conscious adventure. Il Moran Camp resides in the forest shade mirroring the flow of the Mara River, where hippos wallow happily. Recently refurbished in 2018, this Silver Eco award-winning camp is ideal for those seeking a little extra luxury. Il Moran has been kept small to hold on to that cosy intimate feel, with just 10 canvas tents hidden under the ancient trees, lining the winding banks of the Mara River

Naibor Tented Camp

Naibor Camp is nestled in a small, peaceful stretch of woodland on the banks of the Talek River, where you can forget all about the hubbub of modern urban life. Here, there’s just you and the untainted wilderness. Naibor is made up of three interlaced tented camps, (Main) Naibor Camp, Little Naibor and Naibor Wilderness. Each has their own styles and perks that can accommodate a variety of budgets, while still maintaining the Naibor trademark combo of luxury and tasteful elegance. Both Little Naibor and Naibor Wilderness can be booked on an exclusive basis to allow for a more intimate and personal safari experience.

Rekero Camp

Rekero is a traditional and romantic tented camp deep within the Maasai Mara National Reserve. From the north banks of the Talek River, Rekero boasts splendid views of the Great Migration herds making their river crossing, but there’s plenty of wildlife to see no matter when you visit! Commonly sighted animals on and around the camp have included elephants, buffalo, cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, lions, serval, caracal, and gazelle. Visitors need not even leave their tents to relish the full experience of the animal kingdom that the Reserve has to offer. The camp’s 9 chic tents are also mindfully placed above the river, perching in the balance between tranquil privacy and communal hospitality.
