Ladera was once part of the Rabot Estate, one of the oldest and most famous cocoa plantations in Soufrière, and is now the most luxurious resort in St. Lucia. It’s also the only one to be situated within a UNESCO World Heritage site. Ladera’s rooms embrace a unique open-air style with just 3 walls, allowing you to connect with nature and the romantic beauty of the Pitons.

You’ll be feeling right at home in this tropical paradise, surrounded by locally sourced and crafted furniture made from tropical hardwoods, stone and tile. Everything at Ladera is tailored to your comfort and relaxation, a shining example of Caribbean hospitality.

Dining

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Dasheene serves for every taste and every occasion. Executive Chef Nigel Mitchel and his team use only the finest local ingredients to prepare stylish renditions of traditional dishes such as sweet potato and coconut soup, Caribbean lamb salad, Cajun Creole vegetable bakes and much more.

Trips/Tours

Explore the nearby areas with one of Ladera’s guided tours. On Saturdays, there are tours of the morning market where you can see the variety of tropical fruits and vegetables that grow on the island, and are followed by a cooking class with Ladera’s own chef.

For nature lovers, you can take a scenic journey into the heart of the island’s Edmund Forest Reserve with your guide, walking among tropical trees and flowers, wildlife and birdlife. You could also take a tour to the historical town Soufrière and explore all the local highlights. From there you can visit the Sulphur Springs at the world’s only drive-in volcano and savour the beauty of the Diamond Falls and Torille Waterfall.
