Example Itinerary

(B) Breakfast, (L) Lunch, (D) Dinner

You will be picked up at the airport on arrival by your private chauffeur. Proceed to Anamaduwa, for your first stop, which is a 2.5 Hr. drive. Check in at the laid back Mud House resort and and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

The following morning enjoy breakfast at the Resort. Experience a visit to Paramankada Temple followed by a Lake Picnic. Return to the resort and spend the evening at leisure.

Paramankada Temple

The Paramakanda Temple is situated just 2 km from The Mudhouse and towers imposingly in the distance atop a giant rocky outcrop. Accessible by cycle or tuk-tuk, Paramakanda is one of our ‘must see’ attractions.

Dating from the reign of King Walagamba in 89-77 BC, the temple is steeped in myth and legend. From the perceived mysterious powers lurking behind trap doors to a rumoured underground tunnel network linking the temple with other monastic institutions on other rocks in the area. Other carvings and inscriptions around the rock suggest the buildings once covered the entire formation.
